Terms of Service

1. Who we are & eligibility

Collabon connects creators and brands. To use the platform you must be at least 16 (or the age of digital consent in your country), be able to form a binding contract, and provide accurate information. One person may maintain one primary creator account. If you create an account for a team or agency, you represent you have authority to bind that entity.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for your username, email, password, and any activity under your account — including verification codes (OTP) and OAuth tokens.
• Keep your login secure and notify us promptly at security@collabon.app if you suspect unauthorized use.
• We may require you to pick a username that complies with our format (3–20 characters, letters, numbers, underscores) and is not reserved or infringing.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to others.

3. Profiles, content & your responsibilities

You control what appears on your public profile:

• What you publish: name, bio (up to 500 characters), avatar/cover images, categories, social handles, follower counts, and insights you toggle Show on profile are public to anyone visiting your link.
• What stays private: your email, password hash, verification tokens, and brand contact details are never shown publicly — brand emails are visible only to you in your dashboard.
• Your content must be yours: You represent that your bio, images, and social data are accurate, lawful, and do not infringe third-party rights. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display your profile content solely to operate the service.
• No impersonation: Do not use a username or image that misleads others or violates trademarks.

You can edit name, username, bio, images, and categories anytime in your profile (owner view). Deleting your account removes your public profile within 30 days.

4. Social connections

You may connect YouTube, Instagram, Facebook (and add TikTok manually) via OAuth, or add details manually. Connecting is optional and revocable:

• We fetch only what you authorize (e.g., YouTube channel stats, Facebook Page + linked Instagram Business insights). TikTok is manual-only today.
• Tokens are stored encrypted and deleted when you disconnect. Insights are refreshed only when you (or we, on your behalf) request a sync.
• Data from Google/Meta is subject to their terms and may be approximate or delayed. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in third-party platform data.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect the accounts you add.

5. Collaboration requests & messages

Brands submit requests through your public profile form (name, brand, collaboration type, preferred platforms, contact email, phone, message). We create a request for you and notify you by in-app notification and email.

• Platform selection is optional — brands may leave it open for discussion. If they select platforms, we filter only among your connected accounts.
• Status workflow is pending → in_progress → completed/declined. Changing status does not create a legal contract with the brand — you negotiate terms directly.
• Messages stay threaded in Collabon. Brands may reply by email via a unique address (collab+token@inbound); those replies are appended to the thread.
• You agree not to use requests to spam, harass, or solicit unlawful services.

Brand/creator deals are between you and the brand. Collabon is not a party to, and is not liable for, any collaboration terms, payments, deliverables, or disputes. Use contracts directly with brands for paid work.

6. Analytics

We show you anonymous visit totals, trends, and breakdowns by device/source to help you pitch to brands. This uses a daily hash of IP + browser, not advertising cookies, and does not identify individual visitors.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post unlawful, hateful, harassing, or deceptive content
• Upload malware, scrape beyond permitted API use, or attempt to bypass rate limits or access controls
• Impersonate others or misrepresent follower counts or engagement
• Collect emails or personal data from profiles for spam or unsolicited outreach outside the intended collab flow
• Use the service for children under 16 or for any regulated activity without proper disclosure

Violation may result in content removal or account suspension.

8. Intellectual property

• Your profile content remains yours. You retain all rights you hold.
• Collabon, our logo, and our code remain ours. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the platform except as allowed by law.
• If you believe content infringes your rights, contact support@collabon.app with details and we will act promptly.

9. Third-party services

Our service integrates with third parties (YouTube Data/Analytics, Facebook Graph, Instagram, EmailSpace for emails, Cloudflare R2 for images). Their availability, accuracy, and terms are outside our control. We are not responsible for their downtime, data changes, or policy updates. Disconnecting stops future syncs.

10. Fees

Creating a profile and basic collaboration features are free today. We may introduce paid plans or fees in the future with at least 30 days’ notice. Any future fees will be clearly disclosed before you incur them.

11. Termination

• You may delete your account anytime by emailing privacy@collabon.app — we will purge your profile, social links, requests, and images within 30 days (backups 90 days).
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, remain inactive for an extended period, or create legal risk. We will provide notice where feasible and where law allows.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT PROFILES WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT SOCIAL STATS WILL BE COMPLETE OR CURRENT.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Codebiter and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service, third-party platform data, or any brand/creator collaboration — even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim (or ₹1,000 if you paid nothing). Nothing limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or where prohibited by law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Codebiter from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or third-party rights.

15. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact support@collabon.app and attempt informal resolution for at least 30 days. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the courts of competent jurisdiction in India, unless applicable law requires otherwise. You may also have rights to seek relief in your local courts where mandatory.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms as we add features (for example, new social platforms). For material changes we will give at least 7 days’ notice via a banner in the app or email. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
