Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026 • Effective: September 1, 2026

1. Overview

Collabon is a collaboration platform at collabon.app that helps creators showcase their audience, social presence, and collaboration details to brands. This Privacy Policy applies to our website, public profiles, dashboards, and emails.

We act as the controller for your account and profile information, and we process brand inquiries you receive through your profile on your behalf. When you connect YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook, those platforms remain independent controllers of their own data.

2. Who we are & how to contact us

Collabon is operated by Codebiter. For any privacy questions, requests, or complaints:

We will never ask for your password by email. Please contact us only through the addresses above or in-app support.

3. What we collect

We only collect what we need to run the features you actually use.

Account & profile

  • Name, email, username, and a short bio you choose to share
  • Profile photos and cover images you upload
  • Categories that describe your content
  • Login details – your password is stored only as an encrypted hash, never in plain text
  • If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email, and profile image from that provider

Social accounts you connect

When you connect YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, or add TikTok manually, we store your handle, profile link, and follower count. If you give permission, we also fetch public performance details like total views, number of posts, and aggregated audience insights such as top countries or age groups – never individual follower identities. You choose which of these details appear on your public profile.

TikTok is manual-only. We never store your social passwords.

Collaboration requests & messages

  • Details brands submit through your profile: their name, brand name, type of collaboration, preferred platforms, contact email, phone, and message
  • Messages you exchange in the app, including replies that come in by email

Visits to your profile

When someone views your public profile, we record an anonymous visit to show you totals, trends, and breakdowns by device and source. This does not use advertising cookies and does not identify individual visitors.

Notifications & settings

  • Notifications we send you about new requests or messages
  • Your selected categories and visibility preferences

4. How we collect information

  • Directly from you when you sign up, build your profile, or message brands
  • Automatically when people visit your profile or when you connect a social account
  • From partners like Google or Meta, but only after you explicitly connect and grant permission

5. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Create and display your public profile and dashboard
  • Sync the social stats you choose to share
  • Deliver collaboration requests and keep message threads together
  • Show you how your profile is performing with visits and audience trends
  • Send important emails like verification codes and new request alerts
  • Keep the platform safe, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations

We process your information because it is needed to provide the service you asked for, because you gave us permission (for example when you connect a social account), or because we have a legitimate interest in improving and securing the platform. You can withdraw permission at any time by disconnecting an account.

6. Cookies

We use only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect your account. We do not use advertising trackers.

You can control cookies in your browser settings, but blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in.

7. When we share information

We never sell your personal information. We only share it to run Collabon:

  • Public visitors and brands see only what you choose to make public on your profile
  • Email provider to deliver verification codes and collaboration emails
  • Storage provider to host your avatar and cover images
  • Google and Meta when you connect YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook — only with your permission, and you can disconnect anytime
  • Hosting and database providers that run our servers, under strict confidentiality

Brand contact emails are never shown publicly; only you see them in your dashboard.

8. International transfers

Your information may be processed in India and in other countries where our service providers operate. We protect these transfers with standard contractual protections and provider agreements. By using Collabon, you consent to this processing.

9. How long we keep it

  • Account and profile — until you delete your account, then removed within 30 days
  • Connected accounts — until you disconnect or your login expires
  • Collaboration requests and messages — until you delete them or your account
  • Visit analytics — totals are kept; detailed visit records are anonymized after about 90 days
  • Notifications — until you read them and for a short period after

10. How we protect it

We use industry-standard protections like encrypted passwords, secure login tokens, and careful access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we also regularly review our practices. If a serious incident occurs, we will notify affected users and authorities as required and advise you on next steps such as changing passwords or reconnecting accounts.

To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for inaccuracies in data provided by third-party platforms, for agreements you make directly with brands, or for choices you make about what to publish publicly. If you are unhappy with the service, you may stop using it at any time.

11. Your rights and choices

You have the right to:

  • Access and take your data with you — request a copy of your information
  • Correct it — edit your name, username, bio, photos, categories, and what insights you show directly in the app
  • Delete it — ask us to delete your account and we will remove your profiles, connections, requests, and images within 30 days
  • Control visibility — hide any social insight section from your public profile or disconnect an account to stop syncing
  • Withdraw permission — revoke access in your Google or Meta settings or by disconnecting

To exercise these rights, email privacy@collabon.app from your account email. We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days. You also have the right to contact your local data protection authority.

12. Children

Collabon is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child’s information has been collected, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

13. Contact

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights: privacy@collabon.app. For security matters: security@collabon.app.

Postal: Codebiter, Attn: Privacy, India.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when we add new features. If we make important changes, we will let you know through a banner in the app or by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Collabon after the changes means you accept the updated policy.

Previous versions are available on request.

Our promise

  • We collect only what we need and never sell it.
  • You decide what appears on your public profile.
  • You can take your data with you or delete it anytime with a single email.

By using Collabon you agree to this policy and our Terms. If you don’t agree, please discontinue use.
